Publishing News:

Ruth Berman's "Cat Math" (August 2008) was #3 in Asimov's annual reader poll Best Poem category.

Neil Gaiman's Coraline was #2 bestselling trade pb on the Borders/Waldenbooks list in the July Locus.

The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman won the Audie for best audiobook of the year (as well as winning in the Children's Age 8-12 category). The print version is a British Fantasy Award Best Novel finalist, and Dave McKean is a BFA Best Artist finalist for his work on it.

P. Craig Russell's art for Gaiman's Coraline won the 2009 Locus award in the Best Non-Fiction/Art Book category. Ex-local Carolyn Ives Gilman finished 15th in Best Novella for "Arkfall" and ex-local Kij Johnson finished 8th in Best Short Story for "26 Monkeys, Also the Abyss."

St. Martin's 2009 pb anthology Faeries Gone Wild is an all-Minnesota-authors anthology: MaryJanice Davidson ("Tall, Dark, and Not So Faery"), Lois Greiman ("Pixie Lust"), Michele Hauf ("Dust Me Baby, One More Time") and Leandra Logan ("A Little Bit Faery").
